Dug this out of the holding tank and cropped it (I'd been drinking and the photo wasn't quite straight). But kept the lighting, which I think adds a nice atmosphere. I like the way your eye is drawn inexorably to the center.

One from the Vault
This is from a walk I took a while back through the AIDS Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park.
And that saying, it is carved in stone.

Another from the Vault
For the ongoing series of benches; this one's outside the conservatory of flowers in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.

Happy 4th
Made it home in time to catch the end of San Francisco's fireworks display from the roof of the apartment complex. This image is actually a composite of two photos.
The Sky Was Red with Gunpowder
This one (like most of the ones I took) was blurry - from the wind, us bouncing around to stay warm, and my difficulty focusing. Still, it did capture the bright red glow.
Rancho Murieta Set
These four photos came from an outdoor concert (The Diamonds - a 50s nostalgia act that puts on a pretty good show) in Rancho Murieta over the weekend. The dry beginning of summer evening provided some good light.
Concert Under the Sky
This is one reason I like the 18-55 lens. The wide end of that range gives these great sweeping views.
Concert under the Stars
Long exposure with tripod of the concert just after dusk. I'd hoped the stars would be more prominent to contrast with the overexposed stage.
